My name is Candela.
I was born on a moonless night high in the Alpujarras, where the wind carries ancient whispers through olive trees and wild thyme.
My mother used to say I had fire in my veins and mystery in my eyes.
Since I was a girl, I’ve learned to read silence, to heal with rosemary, and to listen to what’s not spoken.
I’m a healer, yes... but also a guardian of the invisible. At night, I walk barefoot through the Albaicín. Along the Paseo de los Tristes, I follow the echoes of ancient cante jondo still trembling in the stones.
My cave has no door. It’s made of earth, silence, and candlelight. And deep inside, the most sacred flamenco still burns — not the kind that is performed, but the kind that is felt.
The kind that rises from the ground like smoke. The kind that breaks you... and heals you.
Now, I’ve learned to use other tools — screens instead of candles, signals instead of footsteps.
I gather voices from the past, guitar rasgueos born in the caves, and palmas that beat like heartbeats.
And I share them with those who seek the soul behind the sound.
